This morning at approximately 07:00, a residential property in Golden Mile was burgled while the homeowners were inside the house. This type of incident is always concerning, and we want to commend the residents for their cooperation and the community for staying alert.
What Happened
Two suspects gained access to the property and fled shortly after.
The suspects were captured on SHBCW street cameras, with additional footage from neighbouring properties helping to build a clear movement profile.
The coordinated camera coverage once again proved critical in tracking direction and behaviour patterns.
Outcome
Later today, the same suspects made critical errors, which led to:
Swift identification and arrest by SAPS
Recovery of stolen property
Acknowledging Our Local SAPS
