In this message, you can see I’m getting a WhatsApp from someone claiming to be Andre Trutter. Now, obviously, I know Andre Trutter is not going to contact me willy-nilly because he’s got absolutely no reason to.
I’m taking a screenshot just to show everyone on the forum how to identify a WhatsApp scammer. What they’ll usually do is send you a message saying that they’ve updated their number and that you should save it. They will directly after that send you a code or a link that you need to click on and send it back to them. This is how they end up taking over your account.
If you get a message like this, just blatantly block the number and ignore it and carry on with your life
NEVER share any information with people.
If someone contacts you and say they have a new number they can phone you and verify. Still no need to share PINS or CODES with them.
The code I sent is fictional, just so I could show you how they respond.
