Welcome! This guide will help you get started quickly.

:mobile_phone: Getting Started (5 minutes)

1. Set Your Profile

  • Click your avatar (top right) → Preferences
  • Add your name and which estate/area you live in
  • Upload a profile picture (optional but friendly!)

2. Join Relevant Discussions

  • Emergency & Safety → Important contact numbers
  • Ask the Community → Questions and recommendations
  • Business Directory → Local services and shops

3. Set Up Email Notifications

  • Go to Preferences → Emails
  • Weekly digest is enabled by default
  • Choose what notifications you want

Search is your friend:

  • Use the search box (top of page)
  • Try keywords
    like “plumber”, “electrician”, “restaurant”
  • Filter by category or location tags

Browse by location:

  • Use tags: britannia-bay ocean-estate lampiesbaai etc.

Posting Guidelines

When asking questions:

  • Check if it’s been asked before (search)
  • Include your location if relevant
  • Be specific about what you need

When recommending
services:

  • Share contact details
  • Mention what work they did for you
  • Include pricing if comfortable
