Unsure of the cause currently
Been trying to work out how to comment on posts - just discovered how! Our power in Shelley Point has been off since 14.20 yesterday afternoon. Judging by all the comments from other groups this would appear to be an ongoing situation for many areas.
With the fog yesterday our solar battery only charged to 72 % and ran out at about 2.30 this morning. At least we are fortunate to have that and with the clear skies today it is charging again.
Really hope we can get some solid news from Eskom about what is happening and any time frame they can give us on restoration.
How about anyone else?

Our power also out since yesterday 17h30, Sunset Beach, Steenbrasbaai street.
Large parts of Britannia bay is offline, certain areas of Goldenmile, Shelley point etc. We’re still uncertain where the fault is.
Hopefully Eskom can resolve this soon.
I also fortunately have a huge battery bank so unaffected for the moment.

I just had a look at all the inverter systems we have installed around the area and it seems to be mainly Goldenmile beach side, Lampiesbaai and Shelley point estate that is affected.
Power off since just after 6pm last night - 116 GM

The biggest problem with Eskom is always the NOT knowing whats going on.
If anyone sees Eskom vehicles today, please drop the location here.

Lampiesbaai power is beacause of a faulty breaker.
No ETA for the repairs
Electricity should be restored across the bay now.
